Jack Smyer


Principal Architect

Jack Smyer is the principal architect of Smyer Architecture specializing in commercial, custom residential design, adaptive reuse of older structures and tenant improvement projects, all with emphasis on green design. He received his bachelor of science in Architecture from CAL Poly University, Pomona in 1978 and got licensed in the State of California in 1983 where he has been involved in San Diego Architecture ever since.

Jack has volunteered in programs such as Habitat for Humanity with the construction of several single family homes in Oceanside and Escondido, CA as well as with the California State Licensing Board by proctoring the oral portion of the exam.
